HELP ME SURVIVE EASTER

HELP ME SURVIVE EASTER

IT'S COMING...

I've had a few ask about what to do over Easter so I'm gonna get straight to the point and share my best advice to survive Easter.

1) ENJOY

Don't be a misery guts and watch everyone else enjoy whilst you say "I can't I'm on a diet"

That's way too boring and grim.

A healthy lifestyle is a balanced lifestyle.

It's one where you move regularly,
Eat healthy food regularly with lots of veggies
Stay hydrated
Work on your mindset
Enjoy some choccy/cheese/crisps/alcohol from time to time
Rest and put your feet up

When you're mindful MOST of the time, you can completely relax and indulge SOME of the time - and enjoy it all the more.

2) Balance your week

So Easter Sunday could turn out to be a calorific day.

That's FINE!

Make it part of the plan. Here's an example of what you could do.
(I'm using this as an approximate guide so you get the picture)

Imagine you're aiming for 1800 kCals per day as this works well for you to chip away at your fatloss.

You don't always have to use that same amount each day.

Mix your week up so you can pull it back a bit, like here:

Monday 1500 kCals
Tuesday 1500 kCals
Wednesday 2000 kCals
Thursday 1500 kCals
Friday 1500 kCals
Saturday 2000 kCals
Sunday 2500 kCals

There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to health change and fat loss and there will be times where you have to pay attention and work out what works best for you. But what I'm trying to get at here is that you can have balance with no guilt.

Love your lifestyle
Love your body and stop being so hard on yourself.

3) Drop the guilt

Sadly, millions of women live feeling like their body is "just not me", obsessed with dieting rules, comparing to others and plagued by feelings of guilt.

Having a healthy diet is essential, and this does include some of the stuff we fancy the most. We need to have a good relationship with food - we're gonna be eating it for the rest of our lives so LOVE your relationship with food.

Love how much you can have and how you can fill your body with goodness and focus on everything you can and should have, and know you're allowed to relax a little.

To have a healthy body and healthy relationship with food, you need a healthy mindset to go with it.

4) Stay active
The weather can play a big factor in how you spend your time over Easter and I've checked out the forecast.

Bookies have slashed the odd of a White Easter (Not much of a gambler - but I'm assuming it means they think it could happen and they don't want to pay out big bucks), however when I just looked at the MET office, Sunday is looking like the driest day with plenty of cloud so you could wrap up, get your wellies on and get outside for a nice walk with those you're sharing the day with.

Or...if you decide to stay in, get a competition going on the Wii or go old school and have a game of Twister

(I won't suggest a family HIIT session - but if you do send me a piccy and I'll give you a prize!)

It is only one day though so having a chill can always be a good idea, as long as you've been pretty active this week and over the whole Bank Holiday weekend.

5) PLAN B

If it all goes egg shaped and you over do everything.....Get back to it on Monday ( or Tuesday)
