Does this seem easier?
Pinch, punch, first of the month and all that
….and it’s time to make things a little easier.
I’m going to use my all inclusive food & drink experience of the past few days as a bit of an example.
There is never ending food in a number of restaurants available all day, the same with hot/cold & alcoholic drinks.
Eating healthy here is simple. There’s fresh fish and meats, loads of vegetables, delicious exotic salads, the juiciest fruit to choose from and it could be a healthy eating, weight loss retreat.
But it’s not that easy
Amongst all the nutritious food, is the temptation
Mountains of bread, chips, pizza, burgers, desserts, free flowing beer & wine.
The challenge is staying mindful of your health and weight loss goals, or getting the holiday head on and over indulging on everything that would inevitably result in putting on weight and feeling sluggish and miserable.
This is just the same as that trip to the supermarket each week.
All the healthy weight loss food is there for you, in addition to the junk food and the difference between eating good food to help you lose weight or stocking your cupboards with things that will stop you from losing weight.
It’s all down to your choices, the food you prepare and what you eat each day.
Plus, with mixed messages of what’s good and what’s bad…it’s more confusing than ever to eat the right stuff.
How do you balance meals?
How do you get a calorie deficit?
How do you eat the right type and right amount of carbs?
It’s been made harder by ‘diets’ that make you count points, count sins, restrict yourself to just meal replacements and initially they will work….but not in the long term. You will pay the price in the end with more cravings, more hunger and rebounding – the weight will go back on (this happens in 95% of people!!!)
If you seriously want to lose weight and KEEP IT OFF you need to take the right approach.
