Do diets work?
The truth
NO – Diets DO NOT WORK!
During the Life TARAnsformer meeting on Monday,
one of the girls mentioned to me about a friend trying to tempt her
to do a new ‘diet’
A quick fix.
She thought about it, but following the meeting
she felt better knowing that she was now working
on leaving the dieting world & mindset and
changing her lifestyle forever.
No more loving food on minute,
then it being her worst enemy the next.
You HATE it with a passion
Know the feeling?
Hate your body,
your clothes
how you feel,
Yet, you’re battling cravings daily.
You tell yourself you’re a failure.
You lack willpower
Guess what…
It’s not you
You are not alone
Did you know that 99.5% of people
fail on a diet.
If diets really worked, surely everyone that went on
them would be thin?!
What usually happens though is you go in
all excited..
THIS TIME, it’s going to work.
This is the plan for me!
You restrict yourself,
skip meals,
deprive yourself.
Next thing you’re obsessing over what everyone else is eating,
your work mates eating pizza and cake.
You have a stressful day.
Things don’t go quite your way, then
you cave.
The binge happens
You raid the kitchen or buy
something FAST
Cookies
Bread
Crisps
Chocolate
Chips
Ice-Cream
The lot, and it’s not until the last mouthful is swallowed that
the realisation kicks in.
You call yourself all the fat, disgusting, greedy names
possible.
Then you start all over again.
Skip breakfast,
light lunch…..NEVER LEARNING.
So before you get tempted by the latest short term,
quick fix ask yourself
Do you really want to think about food ALL THE TIME?
Do you really want your life to be ruled by the battle of wanting to lose weight,
but eat everything you can’t?
Remember, research has proven
time and time again that
DIETS DO NOT WORK.
Learning to change your habits one day at a time,
with support and guidance is what will help you
make long term change.
It needs to be CONSISTENT
Even with my programmes, you
can’t expect to do just 7 days detox and change your body forever.
You can’t expect to do just 21 days and think
you’re gonna change your lifestyle long-term.
Once the accountability goes,
the ‘normal’ behaviours creep back in.
The ones that made you feel miserable in the first place.
You need continuity to make the changes
become easier and good habits.
You have to start somewhere and you
have to have a plan to continue reaching and growing
and believing in yourself.
You can start at any point with the TARAnsformer
lifestyle plan.
The TARAnsformer way of eating can get you in your
skinny jeans and keep you in them whilst eating
only REAL FOOD.
You’ve just got to do it.
