You Are Not A Failure! - Tara Hammett

You Are Not A Failure!

Don’t ever forget how far you have come.

One of the Transformers (Emma) had a heavy weekend
(We’ve all been there)
Overdone it,
Eaten our way through a hangover then told ourselves we are a failure and will never lose weight.
“Can I ever do it?” Emma asked.
YES!!
After a chat, Emma grabbed control back.
I probed
“What did you eat?”
She didn’t want to say,
But I insisted
Sausage sandwiches with the family
Crisps and Pizza.
Hands up who’s done this
(I’m imagining 100% of the hands going up)
Emma is normal
Emma is human
Emma is working blinking hard but after years of telling herself she was bad, she told herself yesterday morning she was bad.
She believed it until I made things clear and simple.
I said something along the lines of this…….(and I’m making up numbers here)
Let’s say Emma needed to eat around 1500 kCals per day to lose weight sensibly.
Over 2 days thats 3000 kCals.
Say she ate 2200 on Sunday,
Then ate 800 on Monday…………she’s on track!!!

Somehow, Emma felt instantly in control.
She’s not much of a breakfast person anyway so she kicked off her day with a black coffee,
Had a nice big ham & cheese salad for lunch and a nice big chicken and coleslaw salad for dinner.
Quick and easy, especially in this hot weather.
I know this simple, common sense strategy will make 1000000000% difference to the rest of the week.
She’s also got another party Saturday and instead of dreading the damage,
she already has a plan. It’s quite exciting getting a plan, doing it and loving it.
Without the support and guidance she would have screwed up yesterday too because she may as well.

She screwed up Sunday, so what’s the point?
There’s every point to make today good!
We had a strategy and she did it
Em: I hope you’re feeling proud this morning!
Back in the game, everything balanced out and back on track.
Then she did some reflecting.
She reminded herself of just how amazing she has done.
She may not be at her goal yet and sometimes the journey gets a bit messy but we must never forget how far we’ve come.
Be proud and keep looking forward!
If you relate to Emma and feel you could so with some support from me and a helping hand to get in control, join in with the Tara Plan today. Click here and I’m ready to get you started.
