My little healthy inspiration is a little later today.
I’ve been training the Diet Tribe,
had a little workout
and played a game of catch with
a rugby ball getting
all warmed up and ready for the game
later today.
Anyway…..
Seems my little meaty balls
appealed to a few romantic men out there…
“There’s no audio on
that meatball video.
You’ve possibly ruined any chance I
had of a nice supper tomorrow night! 😉 “
Ha Ha
Luckily for this little romantic….
he’s one of my fave’s and I wouldn’t
want his wife to go without
some healthy, fresh, home-made
meatballs made with a lot
of love and care.
So I sent him the recipe.
Not sure about you, but
I’d rather 12 spicy meatballs over
12 red roses.
There’s a bit more thought
gone into it then don’t you think.
Ha
Anyway, as I wouldn’t want anyone to
be disappointed on Valentines day
or stuck for ideas, I’ve decided to share the recipe with you too.
You can thank Mr Romantic Spicy Balls for this.
(I won’t mention his name as I may spoil the surprise)
Spicy Turkey Meatballs
800g turkey mince (2 packs)
100g oats
1 finely chopped onion
3 eggs
1/2 Tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
Salt & pepper
Roll into balls (I made 18),
Place on tray in pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 mins, turn them all over and pop back in the over for a further 5-8 mins.
Enjoy 2-3 with dinner, pop some into a container for lunch at
work or make these for a buffet when you’ve got guests.
You could even shape your balls
into a heart for extra cupid points!
And for even more romantic choccy treats
or to create an intimate, yet healthy meal
for your loved one

P.S Remember romance and thought is for any day of the year,
not just 14th Feb. Don’t forget to tell those who are most important to
you how much you love and appreciate them xxx
