I know what to do..WHY CAN’T I DO IT!?!?
Isn’t it just SO HARD being good all the time and losing weight!!
You learn one thing about what to eat, then the next week
something new is good for you and what you were eating last week somehow is bad!
The truth is though…you probably know most of the things you should do.
We all know we need to move more
We all know we should eat less crap and choose healthier food
We all know we should drink less alcohol
We could say ‘but’ all day long, and it will get you nowhere like it has so far.
Like Claire & Rachel in the inner circle group
‘I know what to do, I just don’t do it’
‘I know I can do it, I just don’t’
‘When I put my mind to it, I can do it’
So why don’t we??
We need more convenience
We’re too tempted
With all thing things you have to do and think about each day,
adding hard work, will power and motivation on top just seems too much.
so you do things like
# Snack on kids leftovers
# Go too long without food and you’re so hungry you think ‘screw it’ and you scoff too much
and regret it instantly.
# Ate too little of your ‘diet food’ at breakfast and lunch that you binge all evening
# Feel stressed from your day that the only answer if that glass of wine…bliss
All small things each day that will help you do a great job of staying exactly the same.
Claire made a comment in the Inner Circle Support group yesterday:
“Tara, I’ve printed off the ticklist so I will start ticking and hopefully get myself back on track! Fed up of kicking myself when I know what to do and that I can do it, if I put my mind to it! Tomorrow is a new day and I won’t be boring you with my negativity! Enough is enough! Have a lush evening ladies, I will now do my butt challenge and settle down to watch the walking dead! See you in the other side xxxx”
Just like me and the other girls, Claire is going to use the ticksheet to help her stay on track.
Like you…..the main problem is
YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, YOU JUST DON’T DO IT
You lack motivation, will power and the simple fact that sometimes you just can’t be bothered.
It’s too hard, you get nowhere fast so what is the point?
The point it this
You deserve to be happier
You deserve to feel full of energy
You deserve to feel more confident
You deserve that feeling of wearing something in a smaller size
You deserve to look forward to your next holiday and feel lovely in your clothes and not ashamed of your body.
So make it a little easier for yourself and just take a small step each day.
Yesterday I ticked every box on my ticksheet.
Being a bit competitive with myself, I want to tick every box this week.
I’ll be one week nearer to losing my jelly belly that I’ve got at the moment and
getting a little closer to how I was looking before being pregnant.
