I can’t even describe how I feel

Do you find it difficult to put in to words
how you really feel about yourself?
The past few days I’ve been on the phone to many ladies ready to make the change
and can’t continue to stay where they are any longer.
* Don’t like their body,
* Hate the overlap on their jeans
* Flip from one emotion to another every day
* Feel uncomfortable, not themselves.
* Sick of letting themselves down and can’t understand why they can be so successful with many things in their lives (Children, jobs), they can’t control the food they eat and their weight.
* Can’t look in the mirror as they hate what they see and cant put into words how it makes them feel.
The main thing all of these ladies need help with is MOTIVATION.
Why is it so hard to find it?
They’ve done so well in the past.
Lost weight and been healthy for a short time,
Done well for a few weeks but
just can’t get past the barrier of a few weeks to keep it going.
They start to feel good about themselves….then CELEBRATE WITH A MCDONALDS!
It sounds crazy, but it’s true. It’s easy to let ourselves down and try again tomorrow or Monday.
It’s much easier to keep the discipline up with other areas in your life.
Take work as an example. You’re accountable to other people.
You have to turn up
You have to do tasks
Once you’re there you’ve got to do the work.
You achieve success and it drives you to do it more.
This can be the same with your health and weight loss goals,
you just need to be accountable.
The girls have tried every diet under the sun
(usual…weight watchers, slimming world, lighter life….)
They spend all the money,
turn up to be weighed then they’re on their own for the rest of the journey.
Motivated for the first few days,
then it feels harder,
too restrictive,
you have a little sneak of something ‘bad’
open pandoras box……and don’t put the lid back down.
Motivation is easier to find, when you get some regular support
and set yourself a real plan.
Saying you want to lose weight and get healthy
is too simple.
Get specific.
How much weight and why?
How many inches?
What clothes size do you want to be?
Then set a plan of exactly how you will do it.
What small steps will you take daily?
What habits do you need to change?
How can you be prepared and more organised?
All easy tasks to work out, although it can seem a little overwhelming trying
to work it all out on your own.
