Not this…good on Monday, quite good Tuesday – Thursday
Weekend head starts showing on Friday
Ignore what happened the weekend
Go back to good on Monday
What have you really tried to do.
I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it.
Losing weight, getting healthy and changing your lifestyle is simple
but it is NOT easy to do.
Too much confusion
Too much temptation
Too much pressure from others
……then you just cave and do what you’ve always done because it’s easier
But easy isn’t what you want.
It’s much more comfortable and convenient doing what you know, but that’s not helping you get what you want.
What you need
Changing and taking risks leaves you feeling uncertain,
‘What if you hate it’
Things feel too hard and you don’t want to look stupid in front of people
So what do you do?
HIDE AWAY
You know you want it, but…..
Right now you may be feeling in a rut and don’t know what to do,
yet at the same time you may feel like you can’t carry on like this.
You can’t continue down this road because things will just stay the same of get worse.
I’m sure you really want to do something to change,
but all those feelings of apprehension and worry stop you from doing anything at all.
It’s easy for me to say that so many girls have felt like you and when they decided to
take a risk and join in with me, it was the best decision they’d made in a long time, but that doesn’t make it any easier for you to face uncertainty and take action.
But you can trust yourself.
You may not feel ready right now, but when will the right time be to make change?
How about making it now.
Take one step at a time.
You can move from thinking about losing weight
Reading about the best things to do to lose weight
Writing down things to help you lose weight
….then action time needs to come.
Here’s a few things you need, to give yourself the best chance of making change happen:
SUPPORT
When you join a support group you can get daily encouragement, inspiration and will power. You can join the groups I offer or you could look for something near you that you can attend and be around people just like you.
BE KIND TO YOURSELF
I mentioned the other day not to expect too much from yourself. If you set a goal and it lakes a little longer to get there….so be it. Give yourself some credit about what you have achieved. It’s a journey of change and it wont happen overnight, and when you relax a bit form the pressure of instant success, you can enjoy the journey more and stick to it.
BREAK IT DOWN
Be realistic with your goals. You may have a big target to achieve, but when you break it down week by week it feels more achievable and less overwhelming that focusing on the end goal.
DON’T JUST FOCUS ON THE SCALES
There is so much to focus on than the scales. You inches, your clothes, your photos and those compliments that come your way…..take them! They’re all very important markers to how well you’re doing. If the scales don’ say what you want them to say, it can be very easy to throw the towel in and give up. Take everything else into consideration and always remember health is number 1 !!
