Recipe: Chickpea & Mushroom Burger
Chickpea & Mushroom Burger
2 cartons/cans chickpeas
1 chopped onion
1tspn garam masala
½ tspn turmeric
½ tspn cumin
pinch salt & pepper
Put the mushrooms in a food processor until finely diced. Add to a hot pan with the chopped onion and spices. Whilst cooking, mash up the chickpeas (pop in the food processor). Once mushrooms & onions are cooked through, drain off any water, add the mashed chickpeas and mix together. Next, let the mixture cool before splitting into 8 and shaping into a burger. Pop under the grill and cook for 5-6 mins on one side, flip over and grill for a further 3-4 mins. Serve with your fave veggies or salad. 2 burgers will make one serving. Enjoy the rest with the family of pop in the fridge ready to grab and go the next day.
