Have you got ANY willpower at all? - Tara Hammett

Have you got ANY willpower at all?

After posting my progress pics yesterday I had a few messages from girlies looking for some inspiration.

Seems a few have a holiday coming up

A bit of baby weight to lose

Want to tighten up your belly.

Here’s some messages I thought I’d share which I think many will relate to:

Hi babes …. throw me some willpower… I really want to lose a bit and tone for hols which is in 15 wks … I’m so lucky that I’ve lost 99% of my gain but I’d be happy to lose about 20 lb I’m about 10.5 now and would like to be 9 … I’m a rubbish eater and don’t like very much … help

How are you? So, I just wanted to ask you as I have seen your photos and you look amazing. I’m not sticking to the 30 day challenges…I have no will power.. Do you have any tips, advice?

WILLPOWER

Something we all need a bit of

But how can we improve it?

Will power is a bit like a muscle and it can get tired if you overuse it.

You’ve probably got lots of things going on in your day that require making decisions & choices,

using initiative and on top of all your daily things you try to make lots of changes to

lose weight. Exercise, ‘Diet’ (and often doing the wrong things).

You stress about exercise.

You stress about what to eat

…So you cave and willpower is out of the window.

Gone. Bye-Bye.

So it’s always best to avoid trying to do too many things at the same time.

#1  Build up your self-control by doing it one small step at a time. Try and add a small amount of exercise into your week. Just focus on cutting one think out during a week.

#2 Learn to recognise signs that your willpower is about to disappear. Is it when the weekend turns up? When you meet a certain friend for lunch? When you’ve got a party with your children?

#3 Don’t crash diet. THIS WILL NEVER WORK!!! All you do is obsess, starve and cave. Plan your meals and eat plenty of real food so you’re not hungry. Just eat the right foods.

#4 Don’t try to do too much at once. Part of a healthy lifestyle is taking time out. Plan a night off from duties and have a chill in the bath, book a relaxing treatment for yourself.

#5 Establish good habits and routines that will take the strain off your willpower. Make sure that you’ve only got good food in the house. I would be a NIGHTMARE if I had a chocolate cupboard – so I don’t have one.

#6 Learn how to draw up an effective to-do list. (Or use my ticksheet which has helped me and hundreds of others stay on track) Checklists are an amazing tool.\

#7 Don’t put yourself in temptation’s way, or if you can’t avoid it, make it harder for yourself to give in. If you’ve got a party of BBQ for example….don’t sit by the food (something I’m often guilty of) Et before going somewhere that there may be treats, or take food with you to work so you don’t cave to the biscuit barrel.

#8 DECLARE: Use your willpower actively: plan, commit, and do so publicly. I really went for it and publicy shared my photos and journey on my social media knowing hundreds would see it. This totally kept me motivated. I don’t expect you to do the same – however….you can declare it in a small group of girls who

are just like you. Feeling a bit nervous about it, want to change and ready to exercise some willpower.

You can do it in the 21 day support group right here.

A Social Psychology Professor once said:

“People with low willpower, use it to get themselves out of crises.

People with high willpower use it not to get themselves into crises.”

Which one are you?

Don’t keep your excuses.

The main thing is to START

I keep repeating this……..yet so many keep repeating the same thing and don’t do anything.

^^^ Everything to help your willpower is here. Join TODAY and get ready as we kick off on Monday.

My goal this time is not to lose anymore weight (I’m lighter than pre-pregnancy now) BUT to increase the muscle on my body so I burn off a bit more of the excess fat, build my butt, define my stomach and reduce pain in my back.

Message me back and let me know what you would like to achieve in 3 weeks time.

Mission is on!

Keep Fit & Fab
