Festival Survival…or any weekend really x
I hear some funny justifications off
my clients sometimes.
I was catching up with a one-yo-one client
the other day
(He’s on a 30 day intense programme with me)
We were having a little chat about
how his nutrition was going and he said.
“I did well, breakfast was perfect,
lunch was from the plan but I had a Joes Ice-cream –
but it’s ok, I didn’t have a flake in it!”
OMG…He had a smacked thigh.
Day one and he caved!
He’s lucky he stuck to the plan of what I advised
him to eat when he went out to
a restaurant with his family.
Then I had an online meeting with Claire,
we had a nice little chat about her mindset a few weeks ago.
Her first stone came off super easy, but then she hit a sticking point.
Kinda thought ‘what’s the point’
Like a quick sand fight – you
feel like you’re going nowhere fast!
She needed Tara Time and once the accountability
was back and she was inspired by my words…
the weight is coming off her again.
(And I know many of you are the same)
It’s Festival Season and she’s off to Glastonbury.
She’s been worrying a little about how to survive it.
So here are a few of my top tips I shared:
1. Start each day with a mission to drink AT LEAST
2 litres of water (She’s also going to bag up her greens
supplement to kick start each day)
2. Take lots of goodies with you like fruit, nuts, protein
bars, chopped veggies, biltong.
3. Get to the smoothie stall and opt for the ones with
the most veggies in.
4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ostrich burger stall. These burgers
are amazing and if you grab one of those with
loads of onions and ditch half the bread roll
that will be a good option.
5. Alcohol – try as much as possible to choose a spirit like
vodka or gin and mix it with soda water or tonic water.
6. MAIN THING – ENJOY YOUR HEAD OFF!!!
7. as soon as she comes back she will be diving head first into
my detox program.
Eliminating all of those toxins from the partying,
filling her body with incredibly nutritious food and
washing away the bloated feeling AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!
